Operators need transparency in service and repair costs to ensure any machinery purchase is cost-effective and will maintain a long operating life.

Any capital equipment is a significant business investment and one that can have a long-term impact on the business’ bottom line.

Getting the best from machinery includes OEM support and return on investment. Isuzu Trucks said it has the answer in programs such as its service agreement support packages.

Isuzu Australia Limited’s (IAL) Head of Aftersales, Brett Stewart, said that a key priority of quality aftersales support programs is to assist operators with managing the whole-of-life costs of a new truck.Isuzu truck and driver“The Isuzu Essential Service Agreement offers coverage for essential scheduled OEM servicing, taking the guesswork out of future maintenance costs,” he said.

“This translates to no surprises ‘on the day,’ and makes repairs and maintenance budgeting more straight forward for transport reliant businesses.”

A newly released research from the ‘Future of Trucking Report’ shows that a large proponent of truck owners see the benefit in a service agreement as part of their ownership package (41 per cent), while 65 per cent of truck owners prefer genuine OEM parts for replacement.

From July 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024, Isuzu Trucks said it is helping new truck buyers by halving the servicing costs. It has cut its six-year Essentials Service Agreement package in half, now offering it for the price of a three-year package for buyers of selected N Series Ready-to-Work and N Series cab-chassis models. The deal does not include NPS and NLS models.

The deal equates to an additional three years of Isuzu’s Essentials Service Agreement coverage free of charge which Isuzu said will help Australian businesses maintain uptime and realise genuine operational efficiencies.

It now covers double the number of services on new N Series trucks (some exclusions) on the first six regular services up to six years, or 120,000km.

Isuzu said that eligible N Series trucks purchased from an Isuzu dealership during the promotion period also come backed by Isuzu’s six-year standard factory warranty (or 250,000km) covering cab chassis, and three-year (unlimited km) warranty on body equipment (Ready-to-Work models).

The offer also includes six years of 24/7 unlimited roadside assistance. This six-year program does not include trucks operating in harsh applications such as agitation or rubbish compaction, which maintain three-year warranty and roadside assistance support.

“Our customers have their own businesses to attend to, so we’re inviting them to relieve what can be a major point of angst — servicing and maintenance,” Mr Stewart said.Service warehouse“With this Isuzu Essential Service Agreement deal, you have a competitive upfront cost for the business that comprehensively takes care of the servicing requirements for the first six years of ownership.

“This helps to manage the unexpected and streamline operations and to ensure the absolute best return on the purchase of the vehicle.

“It’s imperative that vehicles are maintained within manufacturer’s requirements to make sure they’re operating safely, and complying with regulations.

“Electing to use an authorised Isuzu dealership and genuine OEM parts will ensure you’re receiving all the associated benefits such as factory trained technicians reliability, longevity, and peace of mind.”

The deal covers most of Isuzu’s N Series range. The models offer operators versatility and adaptability with trucks spanning 4500kg GVM (suitable for use with a standard car licence) through to 8700kg GVM and includes the pre-built Ready-to-Work range of trucks, specified for a number of trade applications.

“Commercial and domestic industries are currently in high demand, especially tradespeople and their associated capital equipment,” said Mr Stewart.

“So, in purchasing one of Australia’s most popular light-duty truck models, with three years of our Essentials Service Agreement and receiving an additional three years on top, is a compelling offer for new truck owners to consider.”
