With a reputation for quality and innovation, STG Global are at the forefront of creating specialist truck solutions for an array of industries across the world. Their vehicles span the construction, mining, logistics and waste sectors.

But it’s how they began that sets them apart from their competition. It all started more than 30 years ago in the small country town of Mansfield, where a bunch of young, entrepreneurial lads were looking for a way to bring extra money into the family farm.

These were hard times, with drought racking the land, and the banks pressuring the family to walk away. Never losing hope, the boys started tinkering away in the shed, chugging VBs and thinking of ways to make some money.

One dusty afternoon, they noticed a huge amount of dust coming from a construction site in town. Eager to make some money, the boys approached the foreman looking for work. The response: “Nothing here mate, but if you know anyone with a water truck, let me know”.

Desperate and quick witted, they said they had one on the farm, ready to work. After negotiations on the rate, a deal was struck and the ‘water truck’ was due to start work the following day.

The only problem: there was no water truck, and the boys knew nothing about them either. Just 24 hours later, with spare parts lying around the farm, a water truck was born, albeit looking more like a walking disaster.

The next couple of days were a huge learning curve, but they kept that contract and saved the family farm. And so, STG Global was born, filling a hole in the market when it came to manufacturing and producing world class water tanks and other truck bodies.

Partnering with brands like Hino, Volvo, Fuso, Isuzu, Western Star, UD Trucks, Kenworth, Mack, Scania, DAF, Iveco and Sitrak, STG Global has developed a suite of truck bodies that includes water tanker trucks ranging in size from 8,000 to 18,000-litres.

That range includes a 13,000-litre specialist dust suppression truck. Alongside their water solutions sit cutting edge vacuum excavator trucks, which are purpose-built for non-destructive digging and underground service locating.

Able to effortlessly remove both wet and dry materials, ensuring a clean and safe worksite, STG Global offers them in 3,000-litre to 8,000-litre trucks, as well as an 8,000-litre jetter combo unit, and a 16,000-litre semi-trailer setup.

They also lead the way in reliable and versatile service trucks for both lube and diesel configurations, with a combo offering also available. Two different sized tilt tray trucks can be had for all your towing needs as well.

For those in waste management, STG has you covered, with front, side and rear loader-style garbage trucks, as well as custom-designed hook lift trucks. Working with New Way Waste Management, they’ve also created three additional models.

These include a Mamba compact mini loader, Roto-Pac side loader and Diamondback rear loader. You’ll also find sweeper trucks in three different sizes, ranging from a compact unit to a heavy-duty powerhouse.

STG Global has manufacturing and/or service teams in Queensland, Victoria, NSW, Western Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines.
