Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) has once again celebrated the achievements of its expansive dealer network following another stellar year in 2024. This marks the brand’s 36th consecutive year as the leader in Australia’s truck market.

With over 70 competitive dealer locations nationwide, Isuzu continues to set the standard in sales and aftersales services for both new and returning truck customers.

Recognising the best of the best, IAL recently hosted its Dealer of the Year Awards in Melbourne. These awards take a comprehensive approach, evaluating dealerships on more than just new vehicle sales—customer service, staff training, inventory management, service support, and parts supply all play a crucial role in determining the winners.

Each category carries its own individual accolade, with an overall score determining the ultimate prize—Isuzu’s Dealer of the Year. The award structure does not distinguish between metropolitan and regional dealers, ensuring every dealership has an equal chance to claim the top honour.

Standout Performers

Regional dealerships dominated the 2024 awards, showcasing their commitment to excellence:

  • Isuzu Parts Dealer of the Year: Jointly awarded to Geelong Isuzu & Ballarat Isuzu
  • Isuzu Service Dealer of the Year: Ballarat Isuzu
  • Isuzu Sales Dealer of the Year: Ballarat Isuzu

With a strong performance across all key categories, Ballarat Isuzu secured the prestigious title of Isuzu Dealer of the Year 2024.

Dealer Principal Ian Deacon was honoured with multiple awards for Ballarat Isuzu, including the overall Dealer of the Year trophy, presented by IAL Director & CEO, Mr Takeo Shindo.

This marks the third consecutive year—and the seventh time overall—that Ballarat Isuzu has claimed the top accolade.

“This award is a reflection of the hard work and dedication our team puts in every day. It means a great deal to all of us,” said Mr Deacon.

“I’m incredibly proud of our achievements over the past year. Opening our new site in July 2024 was a huge milestone, and we’ve been busier than ever. Winning these awards is the result of a lot of hard work.

“At the end of the day, it’s all about the customer experience—if you get that right, success follows.”

Geelong Isuzu Dealer Principal Jason Cunliffe also received recognition, sharing the Parts Dealer of the Year award for Geelong Isuzu, presented by Mr Shindo.

Acknowledging Excellence

IAL’s Head of Network Development, Nathan Ton, commended the winners and the broader dealer network for an outstanding year.

“These awards are a testament to the dedication of our dealers in providing customers with the right trucks, top-tier sales experiences, and exceptional aftersales support,” Mr Ton said.

“As demand for heavy vehicles remains strong across a range of industries, our congratulations go to Ian Deacon and his outstanding team. Their customer-focused approach and commitment to excellence make Ballarat Isuzu a source of great pride for the Isuzu brand.”

“IAL continues to work alongside our dealer network to expand coverage and enhance customer benefits.”

Looking Ahead

Ballarat Isuzu’s newly opened facility in 2024 has further reinforced its commitment to delivering top-notch service and support.

Looking to the future, IAL Director and Chief of Sales & Aftersales, Ben Lasry, highlighted Isuzu’s highly anticipated new model line-up, which is set to make waves in the market.

“The network has been gearing up for the arrival of the new models, and with all dealerships stepping up, there’s a real sense of excitement,” said Mr Lasry.

“It’s fantastic to celebrate Ballarat Isuzu’s success as our Dealer of the Year, but equally important to acknowledge the consistently high standards across our entire dealer network.”

“While the quality of our dealerships' presentation is impressive, it’s the passion and dedication of our people that truly make the difference for our customers.”
